Board Elections & Holiday Celebration

The Glencrest Civic League invites you to join us for the Election of Our Board (2026-2028) and our Annual Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 13th, beginning at 10:00 AM!

We will start the morning with our board elections from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Immediately following the election, we’ll kick off our Holiday Celebration complete with food, festive music, and great conversation. We look forward to celebrating with you!

​Important Information & Details:
  • Election Window: Board elections will take place between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Please plan to arrive early enough to ensure you’re able to cast your vote. Every vote matters!
  • Food Service: Please note that no food will be served for carry-out. As part of our commitment to building community, meals will only be provided to attendees who plan to stay, eat, and fellowship together. Bring your appetite and your good company!
  • Side Dishes Welcome: We happily welcome store-bought side dishes from anyone who wishes to contribute. Your participation helps enhance the festive atmosphere and is greatly appreciated!
  • Membership Renewal: Don’t forget to renew your 2026 membership! You will be able to renew during the event with cash, check or money order ($25 for Household Memberships | $50 for Business Memberships). We have important work ahead, and your continued involvement helps make our progress possible. Please also help us spread the word by encouraging neighbors to join our organization.
  • Financial Contributions: We are truly grateful for the generous contributions received throughout the year. Any amount is appreciated, as your support helps us continue to grow and positively impact the community.

Our Story


​The Glencrest Civic League Neighborhood Association was officially organized in August of 1950, after starting out in 1944 as the Oak Crest Civic League. We have several members, many of whom volunteer their time and efforts to improve and strengthen the neighborhood. 

A partial list of our achievements, efforts and improvements to our neighborhood made by The Glencrest Civic League:
  • 2024 Winner of the Mayor’s Community Engagement for Civic Engagement & Collaboration
  • 2024 1st Runner up of Mayor’s Community Engagement Award for Neighborhood of the Year
  • Facilitated resurfacing of the southern portion of Old Mansfield Road through our voices and feedback to the City of Fort Worth's leadership
  • Coordination and execution of our 1st October Street Fair (2024)
  • Publication of our quarterly community newsletter
  • Frequent communication between FW City Council, FWPD, FW Code Compliance, FWISD Trustees  
  • Improved street lights, street surfacing and street drainage through the neighborhood
  • Raised over $75,000 from 1998 - 2002 to remodel The Bradley Center commits center at 2601 Timberline Dr

NOTE:       No meetings are held in June or July. Also, our October meeting will be replaced by the                      October Street Fair!  Our December meeting is being replaced by our Officer Elections                    and Annual Holiday Celebration that will begin at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December                          13th.

​Quarterly Newsletter

Members, be on the lookout for our next Quarterly Newsletter (January 2026)!  The newsletter will contain reminders about the upcoming events mentioned above. 


​Monthly Community Meeting

We will not have a Monthly Community Meeting in December.  Instead, we will be conducting our board elections for 2026-2028 and hosting a Holiday Celebration that will allow us to come together to fellowship and have a good time.  The voting followed by the celebration is scheduled for Saturday, December 13th starting at 10:00 AM (the second Saturday of December), which will be held at the C.R. Bradley Center (2601 Timberline Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76119).  Come join us!​


Officer Elections (December 2025)

Officer elections for 2026-2028 will be held in December.  All currently paid members are allowed to vote.   You will need to stop by the Bradley Center to cast your vote on Saturday, December 13th between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

  • The neighborhood association maintains regular contact with the Fort Worth City Council, the Fort Worth Police Department, Fort Worth's Code Compliance Department and the Fort Worth Parks and Recreation Department to ensure the needs of our residents are considered
  • Stay informed about city implemented changes on the east side of Fort Worth 
  • Help maintain the quality of our neighborhood
  • New members may join at any time during the year
  • Any individual who resides, leases or owns property within its boundaries, may become a full voting Member and to participate in meetings of the General Membership, to serve in elected or appointed positions, and to serve on committees.
